This alarm system has a GSM control panel that will call / send text** to preset numbers when the alarm is activated, as well as sounding the 120db siren when any zones are triggered. (** working SIM card with credit must be installed, not supplied with alarm). The driveway sensors are solar powered and wireless - they can be mounted up to 50m apart for covering large areas, and the transmission distance to the control panel is 150m (outdoor, line of sight, but buildings or other obstacles may reduce that). To create a boundary fence, additional pairs of these sensors can be purchased separately and daisy chained around a perimeter, as long as the sensors are all in a position to receive enough sunlight during the day to charge through the solar panel (so not suitable for shady or dark areas). The standard kit is supplied with one pair of these solar sensors, and also includes the control panel, 2 remote controls, a siren, an indoor PIR sensor and a magnetic door sensor (batteries and fixings included, additional PIR and magnetic door sensors can be purchased and added). The control panel has a UPS function - an integral rechargeable battery will maintain power to the control panel, in the event of mains power failure, for 2-4 hours (depending on amount of usage). The system is easy to set up - comprehensive instructions are included to enable the average person to have this system up and working in a couple of hours.
